The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet
that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting
for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s
encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency
beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search
of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of
merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man
whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a
storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave
the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

Up and coming movies 2014, bound to surprise you!
So I've been wondering what does 2014 hold for the big screen so I did a little checking... I was impressed, especially for one particular movie... Godzilla.
I can't help but hope it's a sequel to the first Godzilla, I grew up watching that, according to Movie Insider the storyline is about The monster being awakened by an undersea explosion and wreaks havoc on the citizens of Tokyo.
Doesn't sound to Wow.... But who knows
Cast includes some familiar actors, not big names, but we know them...

Fermi paradox: Theories to Humankinds exitence
io9: Weirdest Solutions to the Fermi Paradox
by George Dvorsky
3>The Simulation Hypothesis
We haven’t been visited by anyone because we’re living inside a computer simulation — and the simulation isn’t generating any extraterrestrial companions for us.
If true,
this could imply one of three things. First, "I mean Gods" —
running the simulation have rigged it such that we’re the only civilization in the entire Galaxy (or even the Universe). Or, there really isn’t a true universe out there, it just appears
that way to us within our simulated bubble (It’s a ‘If a tree falls in a
forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?’ type
thing).
Another
more bizarre possibility is that the simulation is being run by a
posthuman civilization in search of an answer to the Fermi Paradox, or
some other scientific question. Maybe, in an attempt to entertain
various hypotheses (perhaps even preemptively in consideration of some
proposed action), they’re running a billion different ancestor
simulations to determine how many of them produce spacefaring
civilizations, or even post-Singularity stage civilizations like
themselves.

Fermi paradox: Theories to Humankinds exitence
1> From the Nebula Award-nominated short story, “They’re Made Out of Meat”
by Terry Bisson:
"They're made out of meat.""Meat?""Meat. They're made out of meat.""Meat?""There's no doubt about it. We picked up several from different parts of the planet, took them aboard our recon vessels, and probed them all the way through. They're completely meat.""That's impossible. What about the radio signals? The messages to the stars?""They use the radio waves to talk, but the signals don't come from them. The signals come from machines.""So who made the machines? That's who we want to contact.""They made the machines. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Meat made the machines.""That's ridiculous. How can meat make a machine? You're asking me to believe in sentient meat.""I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. These creatures are the only sentient race in that sector and they're made out of meat."
A little while later:
"They actually do talk, then. They use words, ideas, concepts?""Oh, yes. Except they do it with meat.""I thought you just told me they used radio.""They do, but what do you think is on the radio? Meat sounds. You know how when you slap or flap meat, it makes a noise? They talk by flapping their meat at each other. They can even sing by squirting air through their meat.""Omigod. Singing meat. This is altogether too much. So what do you advise?""Officially or unofficially?""Both.""Officially, we are required to contact, welcome and log in any and all sentient races or multibeings in this quadrant of the Universe, without prejudice, fear or favor. Unofficially, I advise that we erase the records and forget the whole thing.""I was hoping you would say that.""It seems harsh, but there is a limit. Do we really want to make contact with meat?""I agree one hundred percent. What's there to say? 'Hello, meat. How's it going?'

Craziest Cryptic Monsters Dreamed up!
Imagination Overload...
by Trutv.com: EVEN CREEPIER CRYPTOIDS: THE WORLD'S SCARIEST MONSTERS
Ropen
This creature has the head and body of an ape but the legs, feet, and paws of a large mastiff-like dog. First reported by Vikings settling in the British Isles around 1000 A.D., Shug Monkeys are still reported today. As recently as 2009, three witnesses spotted one not far from Rendlesham Forest, the location of one of the most spectacular UFO sightings in history.
by Trutv.com: EVEN CREEPIER CRYPTOIDS: THE WORLD'S SCARIEST MONSTERS
Vampire Squid
No longer a cryptid, this bizarre creature with huge black eyes and a bright red cloak that connects its eight arms was officially classified in the 1930s. It is the only squid that does not to hunt living prey, it feasts on dead creatures found at the bottom of the ocean.
First spotted in remote parts of Papua, New Guinea, this creature is said to be a cross between a giant bat and a pterosaur — a flying dinosaur long thought to be extinct. Seen only after dark, the Ropen has the ability to light up through some form of bioluminescence. While most accounts say it lives on fish, there are also reports of Ropen feasting on human corpses pulled from fresh graves.
Nain Rouge
French for "red dwarf", the Nain Rouge haunts the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. The beast looks like a small child with red and black fur, glowing eyes, and protruding, rotting teeth. Two witnesses who saw it in 1996 claimed it also made a cawing sound like a crow. Cryptozoologists say that whenever the creature makes an appearance, some kind of tragedy follows.

Kinky Comics?
Superman in Bondage: The Kinkiest Kryptonian Comics Covers Ever Published!
Charlie Jane Ander sourced io9
Everybody thinks of Wonder Woman as the main bondage-oriented superhero. There are whole websites dedicated to collecting Diana's ropiest moments. But her teammate in the Justice League, Superman, can give her a run for her money in the "bondage hero" sweepstakes.

Spider man
10 Memorable Occasions Spider-Man Acted Like A Nutjob by
Cyriaque Lamar
Spider-Man's probably the most anxiety-prone superhero out there, so it's no surprise he's embarked on some endeavors that left readers questioning his emotional well-being. Here are ten times the hero's adventures (and mental health) flew off the rails in wonderfully weird ways.
10. Spider-Man records an album of Elton Johnesque pop music
If you thought Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark was Spider-Man's musical pinnacle, then you've never heard this Marvel-sanctioned, 1975 rock opera dedicated to the hero.
The album artwork was also a thing of great beauty. Who knew Thor loved jazz? You can listen to most of this album here.
Of course, I still prefer the 1979 German disco track "Spiderman" sung by a fellow who had the retroactive misfortune of being named Peter Griffin.
For an extremely brief period in his history, Spider-Man experimented with his own carthat was gifted to him by an auto company. To the superhero's credit, he was incredibly dubious of this "Spider-Mobile" in the first place. On the other hand, he did have the poor taste to ride it around town.
Several years ago, Marvel Comics attempted to give Spider-Man organic web-shooters like the ones he wielded in Sam Raimi's cinematic trilogy. To do so, the publisher forced him into hippity-dippity, mystical circumstances — too complex to elaborate here — in which he evolved these new, synergistic features. And here you thought this superhero was grounded in that staple of hard science fiction, the radioactive spider bite.
7. Spider-Man murders people in Turkey
In the bootleg Turkish crime drama 3 Dev Adam, Spider-Man is a eyebrow-sporting crime lord who executes his enemies with hungry rats and boat propellers who dukes it out with his arch-nemesis Captain America. You may think it's not canon, but Marvel hasn't issued any statements recently noting otherwise. For another time Spider-Man went bonkers overseas, see the time he killed a WWF wrestler with Superman and Batman in India.

In 2007's dystopian, Dark Knight Returns-style miniseries Spider-Man: Reign, we learn that Mary Jane has died because Peter's radioactive Spider-sperm gave her cancer. During a certain jaw-dropping juncture of this alternate reality tale, Peter screams at Mary Jane's corpse (which has been disinterred by Doctor Octopus) about how is love gun shot to kill. Why he's never used this superpower against his foes since then is beyond me.
During the 1980s, Marvel Comics superheroes crossed over with characters from Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age. This resulted in such edifying storylines as Conan the Barbarian moonlighting as a pimp and Spider-Man teaming up with Red Sonja to defeat the warlock Kulan Gath. After trapping the wizard in an amulet, Spidey tosses him off the coast of Staten Island andpromptly forgets about him...
Until a fisherman discovers the necklace and frees Kulan Gath. The wizard transformsalmost everyone in Manhattan into barbarians. Except for Spider-Man, of course. Kulan Gath tortures the living crap out of him.
4. Spider-Man meets his god, Stan Lee
In the final episode of the 1990s Spider-Mancartoon, a trans-dimensional militia of Spider-Men must prevent Carnage from ending all reality. After defeating the villain, Spidey is whisked away to our reality, where he learns that he's actually the mental fabrication of an excelsior universal clockmaker, Stan "The Man" Lee. (I'm assuming Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko hung up the phone on this.) Upon communing with his mustachioed godhead, Spider-Man is not distraught over the realization that he's fictional, a corporate icon, or that he could've been named "Greg Gunderson, the Arachnid Ace" if Stan was feeling a twinge more alliterative in 1962. No, his self-esteem is through the roof! Poor guy's in shock.
3. Spider-Man becomes possessed by an evil alien, learns to jazz dance
Many readers consider this sequence the nadir of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man film trilogy. I sort of love the implications of this moment when you spell it out in plain language. That is, "An alien symbiote crash-lands on Earth and uses its malevolent power to cloud Peter Parker's mind. It also imparts a penchant for swing dancing." Did aliens teach humans to swing dance, like some Lindy-Hopping Engineers from Prometheus? That would explain the late 1990s rather easily.
As if having professional comic book writers foist indignity upon indignity upon Peter Parker was bad enough, these fantastic 1981 Spider-Man Mad Libs (courtesy of Mark Anderson) allowed laymen like you and me to blindly dictate the terms of Peter Parker's mopey existence. Look what I just did to Spider-Man's laundry. How deliciously absurd!
1. Spidey Super Stories
This series of comic books was written as a spin-off of the webslinger's appearances onThe Electric Company in the 1970s. Because these tales were written for a younger audience, Spider-Man's adventures were told at an elementary-school reading level, which grammatically streamlined reality in myriad, hilarious ways. For example, see Doctor Doom's plot to take over the world with a magic trumpet, Spider-Man's misadventures with cycling...

For more Spider-Strangeness, see these erotic moments in his storied history, the time the Green Goblin knocked up Peter's girlfriend(among many things), and the following ten public service announcements, the most notable of which revealed that Spider-Man was inappropriately touched by an older boy. And for Spider-Man at his coolest, see the soundtrack to the 1960s cartoon show.

Men in Black III (2012)
MOVIE INFO
In Men in Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back...in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K's life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him -- secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind. -- (C) Sony.
According to Rotten Tomatoes It isn't exactly a persuasive argument for the continuation of the franchise -- but Men in Black III is better than its predecessor and manages to exceed expectations, largely due to Josh Brolin's impressive performance.
