DIY Monday: SHOES SHOES SHOES!!
Ever had those heels that were couple of inches high and look so great? Most of us girls, yes, but I have always had problems walking in them... the back of my foot would slip out of the shoes every step I took. So I ended up avoiding those, whats the use buying them if I hated using them... So you can just imagine my sheer joy when I found these!
Here are some great shoe ideas... enjoy the pics and be inspired!

DIY Monday: Hooded Scarf
Source : Lianne Li (Aliennation)
Using a simple light weight material you can achieve this look easy...peasy!
All you would need is:
> A large piece of material
> A pair of sharp scissors
> A needle and thread that matches your material.
> A hooded jacket (for the shape)
> A few pins and chalk
And that's it, method is simple...
> Fold your material in half, with the inside area of your hood facing outward. (All stitching will be done on this area, then when you invert it, it will look nice and neat).
> Fold you hooded jacket in half (the fold must run along the stitches of your hood)
> Lay your hood on the material and trace it out
> Use your pins to hold the material together along your trace
> When you cut the material cut it a centimeter away from your trace so you will have room to sew.

A Year of Valentines (with DIY scratch-offs)

you'll need...
* blank monthly
Valentine's notes
( Here's a link to the printable!)
* coordinating scrapbook
paper (optional)
* silver metallic
acrylic paint
* dishwashing liquid
* clear contact paper
1. Cut out your cards and write a monthly activity on each one.

2. Next, attach your Valentines to some pretty paper.
3. Then you'll want to cover the fronts of your cards with contact paper. You could just peeled off the paper backing, set my cards face down, then cut them out.
4. Now for the fun part ~ turning them into scratch-offs! Mix together a bit of your acrylic paint and the dish-washing soap. You can mix about two parts paint to one part soap.
--------------------
5. Then just paint the mixture onto your card where you want the scratch off part to be. A foam brush gives great coverage and only needs one coat. When done set aside to dry.

-------------

And your're done!

Do you have old clothes that needs a do-over? My next series will look at DIY projects.
Get an extra large so you can make a dress (the girl in the picture is short, so it works for her, if you’re tall, you would make a long shirt, or add a layer to the edge of the shirt to make a dress). If you have some knowledge of sewing, this is pretty easy, It can be finished it in less than 2 hours!
